Weekly Message #3-5

When the trees their summer splendor
Change to raiment red and gold,
When the summer moon turns mellow,
And the nights are getting cold;
When the squirrels hide their acorns,
And the woodchucks disappear;
Then we know that it is autumn,
Loveliest season of the year.

Understanding our brains, getting in touch with our senses and taking time for gratitude – sounds like a pretty good reason to come back to work after a wonderful weekend.  Thank you Jennifer for taking on our large group for training this Monday.  I know it will be a great day.

This week we will do our “class review”  This is your chance to give us a heads up on any children for whom you have concerns.  As indicated in your information sheet, please take the time to jot down notes prior to coming to the meeting so that we can move along quickly and efficiently.  Peggy is our new School Based Team chair and I’m sure she would appreciate our help in making this work.

Issues around SSSA support remain unresolved at this point.  I did hear late on Friday through email that Mike will be extended for one more week.  Hopefully, we will be on track by the end of September.  I will set a meeting with SSSAs this week to take suggestions re break coverage.

  1. Monica Magbag (former Moberly student) will be here on Tuesday afternoon to promote two new Awesome after school programs.  Thank you for welcoming her into your classrooms.
