Weekly Message #5-26

images-2What a beautiful weekend!  I hope you all had a chance to take advantage of the sunny weather.  We had a great weekend including time with friends and a quick trip down to the USA – 20 min line up only and no duty to pay!

I know that many of you are struggling with colds and flu so please make sure to take care of yourselves and come back to work when you are well!  We are watching student attendance as we have a larger than average absentee rate right now.

Summer School invitations have been placed in teacher boxes.  Please distribute asap.  Please do everything you can to make sure confirmation slips are back by May 14th.  I have added a spot for parents to tick off if they wish to decline (expect Maria’s sheets that I forgot to do)

I look forward to sharing the staffing information received at Monday’s meeting with all of you on Tuesday.  Your comments and suggestions are welcome as we work together to plan the best possible organization for next year.

The Big One at 2 looms this Thursday – hoping for good weather.  We are planning a “full-images-1on” one hour drill so please dress appropriately to be outside for the full 60 mins.  Detailed information should arrive in your box by Tuesday and we will build in time for questions in Thursday’s staff committee meeting.

I have been in touch with Karl who is still sick! 😦  He hopes to be back on Wednesday but we will have to wait and see how he is feeling.   A TOC has been booked for Monday and Tuesday to cover his teaching assignment.

EVENTS THIS WEEK:

  1. Patti at Staffing meeting on Monday morning – Paul is in charge.
  2. Primary resource purchasing meeting at lunch on Monday in the library.
  3. Supervision Aide meeting at 11:00 on Tuesday morning.
  4. Staffing meeting for all teachers at lunch on Tuesday.
  5. Staff Committee on Thursday at lunch – Dan to chair (thank you!)  as Harj will be on a field trip.  Please have agenda items to the clipboard in the staffroom by Wednesday at noon.

Have a great week everyone!
